A little insight into some ofthe cars we have owned and what happened to them.
I bought this car for £120 in 1996 trouble was once we started to strip it down and it was very poorly, it hadn't been started for 12 years previous to us buying it, we put some petrol in the carb and jumped if from my fiesta and it ran, still with its original side valve engine. My ideal car would be a pop, big rubber all tucked away... lovely!
The "Over Powered Roller Skate", my Morris Minor Coupe. This was a 1955 Split Screen Morris. It has a super charged Rover V8 engine. Not bad for an 18 year old bird's car..... I would love to know what happened to this car, i really miss it one of life's mistakes selling it, i'd love it back, i had so much fun in this car.
I sold the morris as my partner at the time wanted a 57 Stepside, so being the good girlfriend i gave up my car sadly the relationship broke down and he then sold the truck, I did see it last weekend at Shakey at the Nostalgia Drags, still looking good.
This is how the car looked, some may remeber it from the days of being owned by good friend Mike Watson and raced by Ron Haslett. We thought it was a good starting point for what we wanted to do, it was bought as a rolling chasis as the engine belonged to another friend Andy Smith and was only on loan to Ron, so he could finish the season after totalling his Cortina saloon.
This is our work in progress, 1978 Camaro. It is currently in primier as we haven't decided how we want it to look. The engine is a 461ci and has been researched and built by Steve.
This is Jim's 1971 Ford Mustang, as you can see this is as we were taking the engine out for a cam shaft replacement. however as we all know this is never as straight forward as we want it and it has now been turned into a 2k parts shopping spree.... this includes Another Block,Ross Pistons, Steel Crank, H-Beam Rods, which has all been balanced to 7500 RPM. Oh and it has a new Cam!!!
