Time for a little background history of the loons in this website......
Steve & Emma, We have a 1978 Chevrolet Camaro.
Why is it called "She's Ratty"??
No 1: "She's". Emmas going to be the driver so it makes sense.
No 2: "Ratty" . Big Block chevy engine are nicknamed "Rat" motors (small block are "Mouse" motors!. The car has a Big block so "Ratty" works!.
No 3: Emmas always ratty!!!!! (I love you X)
If you keep up comments like that Kenney you won't make it to see me race x x
So there you have it "She's Ratty"!
Jim Wade.....
Jim is a good friend to both Steve & Emma and is very like minded, he has a 71 Mustang which is his baby! Oh and of course it is called ... SALLY!!! He claims its a typical women.... I don't have a clue what he means?!
Sally was rescued and repaired to its glory. It is not a show car but it is a go car, we ALL have a passion for speed and this just brings the passion into reality. Shiny doesn't always mean fast..... We all like the shiny nice show cars but we as a group just don't have the budgets to achieve this.
Just a quick update of the reserection of Sally... We burnt the midnight oil to get the new engine into the car for Good Friday - Wheels Day. We suceeded and had the car running and it sounded very nice - Just what i wanted to hear from the new engine. Sadly it appears that the original information we had on the engine build was wrong and it seems that the top end doesn't like the oil restrictor kit that had been fitted to the block, so on the sound advice of Pete Knight - www.knightracingservices.co.uk we will be pulling the motor and taking them out and will be having take two.... Check out the Mustang Racing page for the latest upadte!!!
